How to care for a Doberman puppy?
I was wondering if someone could provide me info on how to care for a doberman puppy.
Such as what is the best type of food to feed it. If there are any vitamins I should give.

I assume you already have the puppy, so you don’t need help finding a reputable breeder.
You should know how to care for BEFORE you get a puppy. No vitamins necessary. Just feed a high quality diet like innova, evo, timberwolf, wellness, etc. Avoid high protein foods as dobermans need to grow slowly so avoid high protein foods.
Here is a good site for all your doberman needs: http://www.dpca.org/BreedEd/article_menu.htm
You can feed any good quality large breed puppy, adult or all life stage formula (dobies should not have regular puppy food) or a raw diet. nothing you can get at the grocery store or walmart. If you are feeding a good quality dog food you don’t need to supplement with additional vitamins the are getting all they need in their food
My last Dobermann puppy was given Solid Gold Wolfcub & he thrived on it. Any quality large breed kibble would be fine, but the breeder should supply you with a puppy pack, which usually includes a bag of food the pup is currently on, so you can gradually switch it over should you want to.
I did not give my last pup any additional vitamins.
>Trim the nails, clean the ears & brush the coat from day one, so the pup accepts it as normal.
>Start basic obedience training from day one, set the boundaries of behaviour you want the adult dog to have & ensure everyone in the family trains the dog the way you do.
