What type of dog should Obama choose?
I know his daughter is allergic so I suggest the Coton De Tuleur. They are very friendly, energetic, and hypoallergenic.

A Pitbull….Name it Hillary
He should get one from a shelter.

Another one of these questions. Has he not chosen Yet? Last I heard he was getting a Lab/poodle cross or atleast thinking about it
I don’t know. I think he should get whatever suits his life the best. Like if they have a lot of time to spend with it, they should get something more active. If not, then something less active.
I suggest a shelter dog, that they admit is a mutt. If they want a Golden Retriever X Poodle; fine; but call it that..no silly names.
They need the best dog possible, to set an example for the rest of the nation. They should also visit with the dog to make sure it works well with his daughter–allergic people are allergic to different things; if she’s allergic to, saliva, for example, a dog won’t really work out.

a rescued puppy, that would set an example 4 the country. i rescued all my puppies(only 2). i <3 kitties & puppies!
a chihuahua so he can carrie it around and I would name it Cloe.

Maybe a West Highland White Terrier. They are just so cute dogs, and they don’t shed. They also have a classy look to themselves, and they aren’t all scraggly.

Nixie, go do some research there is NO such thing as a hypo-allergenic dog, some people are allergic to hair, others dander, and still others saliva or combo of all of the above
And further more he knows his daughter is very allergic to dogs why would he want to get one just because other presidents have had them in the past.

I don’t care. It doesn’t affect my life at all. As long as it’s a shelter or rescue dog, I don’t care what breed or mix it is.
A BLACK WENER DOG
I just took a look at the Coton. I was going to say "No way!" My dog is better! But when I started reading about the Coton De Tuleur, I realized that they are very similar to a Tibetan Terrier–which of course is my preference.
Tibetan Terriers are a misnomer, being from the same family as the Shi-Tzu and the Lhasa Apso. Tibetan’s tend to weigh a bit more than Coton’s, on average between 20 and 30 pounds. I like this because my dog is able to hold her own in the big dog park while being the Queen of the little dog park!
Tibetan’s also have unusually large feet that make them look like a puppy, but also that make then able to walk in the snow comfortable.
I am allergic to many dogs, but not my Tibetan Terrier. She is sweet and funny – loves to please you if there is something in it for her P;-). While often shown are the black and whites, mine is a cream and caramel.
These dogs are also good with older children like the soon to be president’s.
