Dog insurance?
Im looking for dog insurance, i have 2 pitbulls what would you recomend thats not to pricy and do dog insurance cover if your dog bytes someone or another dog? not that i want something like that to happen.

i have pet plan… all i can say is its amazing. go to the website and check it out… i have the gold plan which gives u $20,000 of coverage a year and you pick ur deductable and coinsurance..(i have a $50 deductable and 0% coinsurance) so i only pay $50 and pet plan pays the rest.
they have the most coverage, even hereditary diseases and hip dysplasia.

You should talk to an insurance company. My experience is that it would have to be in the form of an umbrella policy on you.
On the other hand, if you’re talking about health insurance, no – it won’t cover a bite case. I’m not a big fan of the doggy health insurance because I don’t think the benefit outweighs the cost for me. Again, talk to an insurance company and decide if it makes sense for you.
No, pet insurance usually doesn’t cover if your dog harms another dog. Pet insurance covers the pet’s medical fees (hopefully most of them). Usually they won’t cover check-ups, though.
I think pet insurance is a pretty good idea, just in case you get a 3000 dollar vet bill unexpectedly. I’ve heard of a seemingly very good pet insurance company called PetPlan. They seem to have very good reviews out there. Most pet insurance companies get a lot worse reviews than this one.

When looking for pet insurance, make sure you look up multiple reviews and read them. A very good looking pet insurance company may be the very worst. Also make sure they cover heriditary effects.
Well I want to tell you that this is not anywhere nearly as common as the media would have you think.
The best insurance policy is training and socialization to various types of people and animals.
A pit bull is more likely to bite a small animal, that is what they were bred for. The pit bull is special in that it is the only dog that was bred to NOT misdirect a bite onto a human in a moment of aggression.
Some type of liability coverage is fine, but you are really perpetuating nonsense thinking your dog will bite people.
