How much more should my Portuguese water dog grow?
I have a 8 month old PWD, male, he is 23 inches and 59lb, I thought dogs don’t stop growing until 14 months to 2 yrs old and the standard for his breed is what he is now at 8 months. Will he get much bigger?

A 23 inch/59 lb male is pretty large. That’s really at the upper end for a male pwd. If he’s a purebred dog, I wouldn’t think he’d get much bigger, but at only 8 months, he may gain another inch. I would watch the weight. 59 lbs is not too bad for a dog that size, but I would think you wouldn’t want him to get any heavier. Were his parents fairly large pwds?
Large dogs stop growing at 7 months-1 year.
He will not get very much bigger.
